October 2011
We have
had a lot of things going on this year, completely unrelated to the
boat, which have slowed down the progress on Yebo. It has been
a difficult year to say the least but there has been some progress
as you can see from the photos.
We have
our new corian countertops in the galley installed. Justin
made the countertops himself. The stove and oven have been
installed along with the gas lines. All the cupboards/shelves
throughout Yebo have been painted and are just waiting for me to
pile some stuff on them! All the fiberglass repairs are done
throughout the interior and exterior. All of the wood
laminates are up in the cabins (still need 1 in salon) and we still
have to do the trim and install doors to the cabins. Two a.c.
units are installed. The breaker panel is in (wiring for 110 &
220 in progress), a couple of lights are in as well as the battery
banks (engine and house). Battery chargers are in. We
have all 6 mattresses ready to go in the cabins. We still need
cabin soles before we can move aboard and bilge pumps (6 of them)
and plumbing for heads and galley.
We plan
to move aboard before all is complete. Finishing off the cabin
countertops (laminates) and wiring, solar panels etc while living aboard.
