July 2005 |

Sunday, July 3rd 2005 Took a trip to the Museum of Modern Art today with Merle and the kids. We had a nice time but the best part of the day was driving around afterwards and, by chance, finding the H.M.S. Bounty! A tall ship square rigged boat that was used in the filming of Pirates of the Caribbean II! The crew were allowing a look aboard and people were flocking to it. We were among those people as soon as we could get the car parked. What a magnificent ship and fantastic opportunity for us! Unfortunately, I did not have my camera with me and, as I don't have one of those fancy cell phones that takes pictures, I have resorted to putting a link to the ship's site for your perusal. We are looking forward to the 4th July. Apparently we are to have a great view of the fireworks as jet skis and boaters are zipping around the marina and filling up the slips.
NB The Pics on the side are from a routine Coast Guard Boarding in the Florida Strait! They boarded us to find Aaron watching Care Bears and Abi using the head! A menacing crew! They were very courteous and professional. We were found to have sufficient flares, life jackets, etc and they were happy to see all was properly lashed on the deck.
