The islands of the Azores are all very different.  There are many islands (I think 9 in the chain) and we got to visit 4 of them.  Unfortunately we did not get any photos of Sao Miguel.  Our whole trip was much too rushed and we would have enjoyed to have seen more of the islands.  Overall, the Azores are one of the most beautiful places we've ever seen.  Each island is unique in its plant and animal life.  Each island is unique in it's individual Portuguese dialects.  The people are quite friendly and helpful.  Commercial tourism is only really in Faial and the island of Sao Miguel, and even then it is nothing compared to somewhere like Florida, so largely this is an unspoiled place that you can really enjoy.
